“I use Kimmy Schwimmy’s Volumes 1 and 2 in my early childhood classrooms as a educational tool. Music is an intrical and important part of my curriculum with young children I have found that Kimmy Schwimmy’s songs are a perfect fit into my classroom.  My toddlers and preschoolers love her story, parachute, and movement songs.  Her songs are interactive with lots of movement appropriate for the classroom and they are based upon themes that coincide with my monthly lessons.  I use her innovative songs to reinforce colors(We’ve Got a Rainbow), shapes(Shapes), character education(Giant in Little Bitty Town), imaginative play (Ow Wee Ka Zow Wee), science(I’m Gonna be an Astronaut),and gross and fine motor skills (Drive the Car).  I have been an educator for over fifteen years and I find Kimmy Schwimmy’s CD’s something that I have been searching for as it is refreshing, fun, and a great enhancement to my curriculum

There are many reasons that children need to have musical experiences in the classroom. One reason is that they develop confidence in their own abilities to express themselves. They can tell others whether they are happy, sad, lonely, excited, or scared just by singing a song or moving their body. Music also is important because it helps children learn to cooperate, follow directions, and develop social relationships. Kimmy Schwimmy has found a way to combine music with education in a way that opens the child up to receive and retain information that we as educators are already bringing to them from our curriculum. Thank you Kimmy for helping me enhance my program in such a fun, energetic, and memorable way.
